The Character Education Initiative UPF offers a comprehensive approach to human personality development. It focuses on universal values and ethical core principles which are common to all cultures and teaches that the family is the first school of love. In addition to this also public and private schools should play an active role in the formation of character. John F. Kennedy said that the greatest resource of a nation are its people.
This inspiring idea has yet to be taken a step further. The greatest natural resource of a nation are its principled people. The Roman statesman and philosopher Cicero states:. “The welfare of a nation stands or falls with the character of its citizens” The UPF considers that peace begins within the individual and to the family, society, the nation and the world expands. People with good character form intact families; which in turn make a peaceful, harmonious society and nation, which maintains fair and righteous relationships with other nations.
